Weyrleader Kestrel, an odd female bronzerider, is a capable leader both in Weyr administration and Threadfighting. Her Wingseconds, Er'shm and K'hmiol, are two of Meridian's most experienced riders; they both hail from the original Starburst Weyr. This Wing's roster contains other veteran riders as well as a few newer faces. Among them is Oc'rad, brother of the Weyrwoman and rider of (male) gold Bihanth. | |||

Led by veteran rider Nysyr, this Wing boasts some of Meridian's most experienced riders and fighters. Many of its riders are gentle, introverted folk, but show little fear during Fall. Nysyr and Y'tim are sensible people who are soft-spoken in person but lead with confidence and sensibility. W'ju is a skilled young rider and a joyful, caring sort whose mere presence keeps morale high. | |||

Loud, gregarious Wingleader I'toni leads this boisterous, all-male crew of fighters. Their 'boys-will-be-boys' antics are infamous, but they're skilled fighters who use their boldness to everyone's advantage during Fall. I'toni is wiser than he appears and is well-suited to his position. He knows when to shift to defensive fighting strategies, and isn't afraid to call one of his roster out for being an idiot! | |||

Brownrider Gretchan, described by most as 'intense,' leads this wing of mainly young female riders. She accepts only the best, and isn't afraid to switch up the roster if necessary. Those who pass her test are some of the Weyr's most agile and capable fighters. This Wing is also known as a safe place for the stranger of Meridian's riders, with both Wingseconds well-known to be magical (Bahdri is a werewolf, while Shamira is a semi-immortal naga-shifter). | |||

Allene Steppe-Altarani is a Weyrbred wingleader who was seemingly born to lead. Her Wingseconds are sibling duo Imaran and Ianna who, besides being well-versed in the odder sides of the Nexus, care deeply for the members of their roster. This Wing flies low during Fall, protecting those on the ground and leading any necessary evacuations. The riders of this Wing vary in personalities from cautious and (over)prepared to outgoing and friendly. Most Weyrfolk see them as familiar faces. | |||

Al'mi is an unusually quiet bronzerider with telepathic abilities; his Wing attracts riders of similar sensitivity and emotional intelligence (as well as those odd few who don't feel they fit anywhere else). Wingseconds Ibong and T'ly are both strongly loyal to their Weyr and their friends, and will train diligently until their drills are perfect. While some of these riders appear to have their heads in the clouds, they work together as apt strategists who communicate clearly and fight wisely. | |||

The Queens' Wing functions as both a minor fighting wing and a training wing for future Senior Queenriders. Currently, the roster contains several young queenriders, all of whom train in administrative duties and leadership should they wish to found their own Weyrs someday. Junior Weyrwomen Sirila and Kihana are the most likely to stick around - besides being assets to the Weyr, they are also two of Rimaea's closest friends. Former Weyrwoman Quaira also rides in this wing; she's uninterested in further Weyrleadership, but is happy to train new Queenriders and provide fighting support. | |||

This "Wing" does not actively fight; Rimaea and Kestrel need all hands on deck during Fall, and Meridian's team of trained Weyrhealers is second-to-none. While these riders work to stabilize and care for the injured, their dragons keep watch to ensure the infirmary remains safe. Head Healer Cdarri and former Weyrleader V'nnr have been colleagues for most of their lives. Along with those listed here, they also oversee a support staff of non-riding healers and technicians. The Weyrlings of Meridian are trained chiefly by N'mal and Kaia, veteran dragonriders with parental, protective natures. They're kind and calm most of the time, but will reprimand stupidity; they don't want anyone getting hurt on their watch, rider or young dragon. Kelrise, a new addition to the team, has a quick temper; nothing gets past her (Weyrlings often joke that she has eyes in the back of her head). All three are passionate educators who are thorough in their instruction and discerning in their graduation requirements. | |||

For whatever reason, some of Meridian's riders choose not to join a Wing. Some have important positions which keep the Weyr running; others opt out on account of past trauma, disabilities, anxieties, or other reasons. Rimaea and Kestrel have no problem with this - Meridian Weyr is a safe place for all, and the option to opt out of fighting is available as long as there are plenty of fighting riders at the Weyr. | |||
