Library

The Library is located adjacent to the Hatching Sands, in a cabin-style building made of hardwood logs. Visitors who wander through the ornate double doors are greeted by the scent of cut wood, books, and brewing tea, followed by the Weyr Librarian herself. Ophiuchus "Ophi" Hayes is a master at her craft, if a little socially awkward. She knows the location of every item in the Library and can assist Weyrfolk and visitors with questions, research inquiries, and records access.

Copies of the Weyr's clutch records are viewable in a reading room just near the Library entrance, transcribed by Ophi herself. Visitors are asked to leave food and drinks at the room's entrance. Note-taking is permitted, but only in graphite pencil - no permanent ink allowed!
