Candidate Form

1. You must have a webpage for your character and their future dragon. As long as you can edit it and other people can view it, it's fair game - forums, Google Docs, your own domain, and other sites (Deviantart, Toyhouse, etc.) are all acceptable!

2. You must link back to Meridian Weyr on your character's page.

3. Do not steal, trace, or edit the dragon images. (Exceptions: HTML resizing and cropping for profile thumbnails are both okay!)

4. There is no limit to how many candidates you can send, but in the interest of giving everyone a fair chance at a dragon, I may place limits on how many you can send per clutch. This will be noted on the Sands page if it applies!

5. Candidates can be from any world, era, dimension, or what-have-you; the only restriction is that they must be able to ride a dragon - a.k.a. be sentient and at least passable as humanoid. Meridian has a few oddballs in its ranks! Feel free to check with me if you're not sure about your character, and when in doubt, make them a shapeshifter.

6. Traditionally, candidates range in age from teens to early twenties; I'm fairly lenient on this, but your candidate must be feasibly able to take care of their own dragon! Use your best judgement and again, ask me if you're not sure.

7. While I don't require you to write a novel, I do need something to go on, whether that's a stat sheet with a few personality adjectives or a "You Walk Into a Weyr"-style blurb telling me a little bit about the character and how they live. No need to make it fancy - just make it your own!

8. Please clearly indicate any sensitive material or mature content if your character page/story includes it. Don't hesitate to ask me if you're concerned about including a particular element in your story. As a general rule, if it's above PG-13, it should be clearly labelled as such.

9. You have the freedom to use my characters in your stories - check the Wings for a list! Searchriders from Meridian visit other Weyrs/Nexus sites frequently. If you'd prefer one of your own characters to Search your character, that's fine - just remember that Meridian is a bit difficult to get to. Access requires the ability to travel not just between, but between dimensions!
