Something of a realist, Wintertide has what at first seems like a pessimistic world-view. She's quick to strike down any overly optimistic or cheesy clichés that others use as personal mottos or universal truths, preferring to think of things on the literal plane rather than the figurative. She can be slightly tiring to be around because of her contant deconstruction of metaphors and similes, but Wintertide has no ill intentions - she just doesn't quite understand why people rely so heavily on sunshine-and-rainbows expressions to inspire them when the real world is so much different than those expressions say it is. Wintertide likes books, but prefers nonfiction volumes to the flights of fancy seen in many works of fiction. She is overall a friendly individual, once others get past her tendencies to stick to the literal. |
