Personality	Responsible and caring yet blunt as the business end of a sledgehammer, Thiala's seen more than her fair share of poor life choices in her line of work, and she doesn't sugarcoat her opinions on the matter. She takes her job in aquatic rescue very seriously. Thiala is nearly always the first to respond in an emergency, and there's no questioning her high skill level. When it comes to tact, though, Thiala has none. She is particularly good at getting the full story of an incident out of witnesses (or the rescued themselves!). After that, the only thing she's quicker to do than arrive at the scene is give an earful to those responsible. The sea is no laughing matter to Thiala; her magical affinity for the water means she's intimately aware of its power and the dangers it poses for the ill-prepared and unthinking. Her talkings-to come from a place of genuine concern, but she sees no point in gentleness. If there's room left for another moment of carelessness, Thiala feels she hasn't done her job.
