Personality Grim has never been particularly strong or courageous. For most of his life, he'd rather have run away from his problems (and hidden until they magically went away). However, a fairly recent incident changed all that. His older sister Miri disappeared at the same time as the pirate ship lurking in the harbour near their home. Grim could only draw one conclusion: his sister had been kidnapped by pirates, and he was the only family member she had left to save her!

Of course, Miri stowed away on the ship of her own accord and now lives happily as a sailor, but Grim has no way of knowing that. Enlisting the help of planeswalkers and magic-users, he traversed his homeworld in hopes of tracking the pirates down. Eventually, following a strange lead, he hopped offworld to Icarus - and, thanks to the lack of magic on Icarus, became stuck there. Dejected but unwilling to give up, he took up residence at Perigee Castle and sought out the local Knights to help him in his search. Unexpectedly, he was Judged to become an Aspirant at Castle DesCas, and he went along despite the nigh-impossibility of finding a pirate ship in the desert.

While he generally comes across as pretty pathetic, Grim is not a complete coward. His willingness to travel between worlds and dimensions in search of his only living family member speaks to his determination and sense of responsibility. He's become quite well-travelled, even picking up bits and pieces of other languages, which he can recall with remarkable accuracy. Grim continues to surprise himself with his own abilities; perhaps the Draks of Icarus were on to something, after all.

During training, Grim and Glisos proved to be naturals at Passage. They're well-suited to their current position as messengers at Perigee Castle, and highly valued among their peers - to Grim's absolute shock and delight! He's not used to the attention and isn't quite sure how to respond to compliments, but his drak is happy to remind him. Grim still has his doubts about just how much the pair can accomplish, but he has to admit that finding his sibling seems more feasible than ever!
