| Personality | For someone who can see ghosts - a true rarity on Pern - Irri is a surprisingly deadpan cynic. She puts up impenetrable walls to shield herself from the intrusion of others. If conversation is necessary, she'll finish it as quickly as possible without regard for tact or politeness. She is not close with her family, through no fault of their own. She grew up in the shadow of her identical twin older sisters; having lost her own twin to illness at a very young age, Irri became unfathomably jealous of her surviving sisters. When they left to bond dragons, followed shortly by her older brother (the one person she'd allowed herself to get close to after her twin's death), she went from distant to downright jaded. It wasn't long after the departure of her siblings that Irri found herself able to see and communicate with the dead, including her departed twin. The presence of these spirits was a great comfort to Irri, who secluded herself almost completely from living souls in favour of her departed companions. Irri dislikes forming close relationships with earthly folk, and is likely to push away anyone who she feels a growing attachment to. Fortunately, her dragon wouldn't take "no" for an answer. Zaikuth may be just what Irri needs to start the long process of healing. |
