Personality	Hest was not exactly built for riding. She never quite grew out of that clumsy teenage awkwardness, and her whiter-than-a-ghost skin burns so easily in the sun that she can't spend much time outdoors without covering up completely. (She's grateful Meridian Weyr has a cooler climate overall.) As a new Queenrider, she had barely any interest in the duties and exercises expected of a possible future Weyrwoman. Weyr leadership simply isn't her forté, and she's very vocal about not wanting anything to do with it. Where Hest really thrives is in the kitchen! Meridian has found itself with no shortage of goldriders to train, so the Weyrwoman was more than happy to let Hest follow her true culinary passion. She is a master of flavour and of commanding a busy kitchen (yes, ironically, she does have leadership qualities after all!). She's even been known to choose particularly nice cuts of meat for new hatchlings, and beams whenever they end up demanding more. Though her kitchen staff would call her bossy, Hest's kitchen always runs efficiently. Mistakes just aren't acceptable when food service is concerned!
