Personality | When university students learn that their professor's name is Horror, they understandably get a little anxious. Horror is an elegant, imposing figure (he wears high-heeled boots and appears taller than he actually is), but he prefers to be simply called "Professor." Honour and responsibility are extremely important to him. Horror has seen the misuse of arcane power in many grisly forms, and he scrutinizes his students to ensure none of them will wield magic in such ways. He doesn't care for intimidating others, but is more than happy to if a student steps out of line. As his virtue name might imply, Horror has long been fascinated by what lies beyond the veil. His parents were lost to an unknown fate, and all that was left behind was an odd spell book. Horror adopted his name shortly after adopting the tome, whose text only appears in dim light on its darkly-coloured pages. Immediately driven to the study of magic, he's been travelling various planes and worlds ever since, hoping to ensure that such incidents can be avoided or even reversed. He settled at the Nidus after learning about its extensive library and archives. When he's not teaching, Horror spends most of his time in the library. He believes strongly that commitment to knowledge will lead to great rewards, both for his students and for himself. He has a true passion for education, and he finds himself learning as much from his students as they learn from him. |
