Abilities	Natural Spellcasting: Beatrix is capable of using a wide variety of magical spells thanks to a genetic affinity for magic. Voice-based Casting: Rather than a wand or other conduit, Beatrix casts spells using strings of powerful words. These spells range from defensive to offensive, and manifest as energy waves from her mouth as the words are whispered, spoken, or shouted.
Personality	Prima Beatrix is a capable leader, a skilled magic-user, and a seasoned Nexus traveller. She and Shepiyath traversed spacetime for years before arriving on Saga and helping establish Nidus Caelestis. Before accepting the position of Prima, she was one of the University's first professors. Her duties keep her from teaching full-time, but Beatrix is well-known by faculty and students for dropping in unannounced to lectures and labs. It seems the Prima just can't keep herself away from academia, and she has a knack for identifying gifted magic-users before they know their own strength. Beatrix loves to see students grow; she's known to get teary-eyed at university graduations (she never misses a single one). Beatrix is personable and friendly, but doesn't sugarcoat things when there are problems that need to be dealt with. She feels a deep sense of responsibility to protect her Nidus from threats. Beatrix has moved from using her "teacher voice" on unruly students to using it on anyone who would dream of bringing harm to her home or her friends (literally: Beatrix's voice is her main spellcasting medium!).
