Personality	Since a very young age, Athani has had a very strong affinity and thirst for knowledge. Her interest in botany is less about seeing things grow and more about the creation of herbal medicines. She is absolutely fascinated at the thought of the medical applications of wild plants, and hopes one day to make a salve that can cure even the most stubborn of Death Court burns. Thanks to her mentor, Whistle, she has amassed a library of botanical knowledge and is well on her way to that goal. Having grown up in the prime of the Death Court wars, Athani believes war to be the norm and is rather suspicious of peaceful times. She may appear settled into her current role as an emissary to the Vella Crean, but she's constantly waiting for the enemy to strike - and now, with Preyasith and her arsenal of handcrafted medicines by her side, she'll be ready for it.

Family	Both of Athani's parents are riders of the Dark Court; she always visits them on her trips back home to the Vella Crean. She considers Whistle to be both her mentor and a family member. The two visit each other, swapping anecdotes of their experiments and knowledge of new and interesting plant species.
